Monthly Meeting Follow-Up – October 2025

Hi all,

Thanks for a great October meeting of the Syracuse Urbanism Collective!

At this month’s meeting, we shared updates about our productive recent meeting with the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and their team regarding our public policy agenda and policy memos. We’re going to continue the conversation with them. The city is currently looking into the feasibility of multiple policies we’ve proposed, so stay tuned for updates soon!

Since the year will soon be coming to a close, we also had a brainstorming session for projects and workshops to add in 2026! Once we’ve organized our notes from these discussions, we’ll share a list of your ideas and begin to develop plans for the new year.

Upcoming events include:

  • Dungeons & Dragons – A Workshop for Beginners, Betts Branch Library, Wednesday Nov 5 at 6pm
  • Board Game Meetup – Tabletop Gaming, Sunday November 16 at 1:30pm
  • Moving People Transportation Coalition – CNY Philanthropy Center, Wednesday Nov 19 at 4pm
  • Urbanism Collective General Meeting – ArtRage Gallery, Tuesday November 25 at 6pm
  • Preparing for Climate Change through Education and Action – Transportation and Smart Growth – Dr. King Elementary, Thursday, October 30 at 5:30pm

As always, you can reach us at contact@syracuseurbanism.org. To join our discussions outside of meetings, click here.
